I've seen server PC's. I like them. I don't about upgrading, integrated sound and video is find for what I will be doing, generic stuff. I just want to erase bottles necks through nice CPU and decent 1GB system memory.

Educate me, or give me some choices. I will add an LCD monitor. I want minimum space, yes. I like the idea of a laptop, but I want the speed of a desktop. So don't say anything about laptop.

SATA or SCRI speed, RAID'ing 2 drives
socket 755/LGA don't care, need multitasking
dual DVD-RWs, slim or not, don't care, need two of them
need USB's and standard perhiperles, 10/100/1000

Slim, small, and desktop speed, don't care about PCI/PCI-e/AGP8x

AMD A64 = Not thin, Not narrow.

Intel Pentium M = Thin and narrow
Via CPUs = Thin and narrow.

Dual Opticals = Not thin and not narrow.

Gigabit ethernet = Good luck to you.
SATA = Good luck to you.

The closest that you can get with something near your specs(if you need SCSI performance and everything else, then get a standard mid-ATX computer) would be one of the SFF / media center style cases with mATX or smaller mb support.
