Thin, Car computer cases

I am thinking of building a "car pc" that can fit under the seat of my car, so about 5-6 inches high... I have tried a long time to find a good case that will fit a microATX mobo, but I could never find anything useful.

Where can I find a good site with these kind of products?

AOpen H340D is a low profile case that will be thin enough. Not sure how deep and wide you want it to be though. That may be a problem depending on the amount of space under your seat.

Have you looked into Mini ITX systems? expensive, but small. 🙂

Car PC's are a great idea but the only problem I see is how it turns on and off. I mean you could have it start each time you turn on your car but there are many times where you only turn it on for a couple of minutes and what about turning it off? It would just switch off instantly causing some problems. Ive wanted to do this really bad but dont have a car or the funds to do it but the best of luck to you.

The way I thought of doing it is to switch it on and off manually, so you can shut it down, or hibernate when you are about to turn the car off. even if the car for some reason turns off, you can still run off the 12v car battery. I was thinking of hooking up a 10" lcd and make it so that I can play mp3s and video's in my car. WiFi maybe, Also a map program would be sweet... so many posibilities and by my calculations it would cost ~400$, depending on the lcd price...
