thin black line on CRT

Im getting a thin black line stretching across my CRT, and it just got a few shades darker with a large rectangle that is whiter than the rest of the screen. My old Crt did that before it was dead.

My card is a 7900gt co sc, it is slightly overclocked with a zalman VF900cu, the temp is 36c idle and 41c load.

Is it my card or the CRT?

EDIT: Also when i turn the power off and reset the CRT the problem goes away.

without a pic we can't really help you. The description doesn't help that much in it's current form...

if its a horizontal line then it seems like you have lost a scan line.... aperture grill style monitors sony maybe?

u cant do anything about it... instead of a dead pixel like on lcd this is a dead line
