Thief II: The Metal Age

Has anybody bought this and tried it yet? How does it compare to the original "Dark Project" thief?

I really enjoyed the first game, so I figure this one is going to be a must buy. But sometimes the makers screw up sequels.

I "bought" this game and it really kicks @ss...

sneaking around in the shadows and popping people in the head with your trusty blackjack is excellent. I have never played the original, so my comparision is impossible. But from someone who usually plays only FPS like Quake 3 and CounterStike, Thief 2: The Metal Age is a good switch up...

I downloaded the demo from http://www.gamecenter.com. It kicked serious butt and I have no clue as to why I didn't buy it yet. Hmmm...time to visit the mall

You know what? i actually have this freaking game and haven't even installed it yet? Got it while I was still playing EQ so never bothered to check it out. But even now that i don't play EQ much I'm not much into gaming. Still have D2 here that I've only spent like 15mins with.

if you loved the first game you can ONLY love this game even more. It's better in every single way. no zombies, lots of important fixes to the interface, better graphics........it rocks!

Not sure how needing patience can be a negative...?

I'm playing the first Thief right now (and I've played all of LGS's earlier FP games). Good stuff! Sure beats the mindless "run and shoot everything" fps most kids play.

The Thief 2 demo seemed to have improved graphics but otherwise they are identical I think...? Both are good choices.

I havent tryed Theif 2 yet, but i loved theif 1, unfourtunatly i lost the cd!! so i havent been playing it much The sneaking around and listing to the gards talk is my favorate part in theif, i wonder what conversations theif 2 has.....
