Thief at work == stoopid

So this guy at work got caught apparently stealing a washing machine....(a Fisher-Paykel, Ornery 😉 )

Someone called in to complain about one of our employees dumping an old washer along the roadside near his house....he went and confronted the (ex-)employee, who claimed he just saw the box along the road, and stopped to pick it up for a friend who was moving. The witness saw the guy push the box off his truck, and saw the washer tumble out of it and down the hill. The guy continued to claim he only saw a box 😕 he then took off with the box. The witness called the owner, who sent a couple others out to find it. Meanwhile, the witness stayed at the scene, and saw the dork come back (presumably to try and make off with the rest of the evidence). He tried to convince the witness not to turn him in. The boss confronted the employee at work, and he continued to deny any wrongdoing. The boss convinced him to take him to the box, the people weren't home, but the employee got the box from the backyard (which for some reason was torn down to flat pieces- hardly useful for moving 😕 ). The washer turned out to be brand-new, and missing from our inventory....can't figure out why, if he was stealing it, he would roll it down the side of the road, scraping it up. The sheriffs were called, he stuck to his story, but the sheriffs don't believe him either. Now he's got grand larceny charges (it was over $400), and some unlawful dumping charges from the local PD. And there's a matching dryer missing too....he claims no knowledge of that either.

And this guy was an M.P. in the military....guess that's not worth much.

Alright, this may be partly my fault, as its getting late, but can you outline it so I don't have to read through the tedious stuff, like grammar, and sentence structure?

Agreed, it's long-winded......😉

The grammar may not be perfect, but it's hardly bad. 😛

Cliff's notes:
Idiot steals washing machine, gets caught.
Idiot denies stealing said waching machine.
Meanwhile, a matching dryer is missing...and the guy was an MP.
He's in a lot of trouble (if he's still an MP).

Agreed.

Either the guy is extremely stupid or he is a clepto maniac who cannot stop himself from stealing things. It's a psychological disorder.

Kinda like these people who come to a message board to read messages, then can't be bothered to read the messages and ask for Cliff Notes...

:disgust:

wait...

So, he stole a washer and just... dumped it on the side of the road, rolling down a bank?! Wtf, why didn't he take it home?

Some people steal things and then get scared of being caught.
"Did they catch me on tape?"
"'ll just get rid of the evidence."
I know someone who stole something from an empoyer, something small but expensive and electronic. He got really worried about being caught on tape so he got rid of the item after he had it home.
