Right now I would rather have a Tegra Note. The Nexus 7 might have a better screen, but the Tegra Note 7 has a stylus, microSD support, and is $199.

Hadn't heard of this one, so I looked at some reviews. That screen resolution isn't even acceptable on a phone these days, let alone a tablet. What a joke

I have an HTC One and a 2013 Nexus 7 FHD, so let me be the first to say that the resolution of the Tegra Note 7 wouldn't bother me. I'm not bothered by being able to see pixels when looking at a screen up close, and the ultra high resolutions on Android (or iOS, for that matter) don't exactly enable the same kinds of capabilities you get, say, on a desktop computer. Screen technology and color accuracy matter a little more to me, though even there I'm not as sensitive as others might be to lower specification technology.

That said, if resolution is a top priority by all means go for the Nexus 7. Just stating that the Tegra Note 7 - which is plenty fast and one of the most affordable tablets with a stylus - is a viable option if resolution isn't everything to you. Thought it worth mentioning precisely because very few people have heard of it so far.

The thing that would stop me from getting a Tegra Note is not the screen resolution but the 1GB of RAM. 1GB of RAM in any Android device is unacceptable in 2013. I know 4.4 will have improvements for that but a big benefit of Android is multitasking which is much worse on 1GB of RAM. Hell the A7 should have more than 1GB of RAM too, everything should. It would be like 2GB of RAM on a x86 Windows machine.

The Tegra 4 is a really nice SoC and performs well especially in games, just sad it only gets 1GB of ram.
