This must be some kind of routine for them. I mean, guys whizz outdoors all the time, but who of you has taken a dump outside.... on someone else's lawn?

Ameren contractor defecates on Frontenac customer's lawn

Do people who work outdoors routinely defecate on customer's lawns? That is what one Frontenac couple wants to know. They have pictures and apologies to prove that it happened to them. But the inspection and apologies only came after KSDK started asking questions.

Earlier this month, the couple, who asked not to be identified, called Ameren because trees had grown over their power lines. The electric company sent out one of its largest subcontractor, Shade Tree of Fenton, to do the work.

The homeowner said upon arrival, the men got busy cutting trees. He then noticed one worker climb down, open a red backpack, grab some toilet paper and walk behind his home. A few minutes later, he said he watched the first tree trimmer hand off the roll of toilet paper to the other worker, and watched the second guy stroll off towards the back yard.

After the men had left, the homeowners said they went to find out what happened in their back yard. They were repulsed by what they found behind a shed. They were especially concerned because their four-year-old son likes to play by the shed. The two men had apparently defecated on their property. There was no attempt to bury the feces. It was left in full view.

They contacted police and called Ameren Missouri customer service. The homeowner said, "I was in shock and disbelief. It's unbelievable." He continued, "There are several stores two or three minutes away including a Schnucks on Clayton and Lindbergh and a Starbucks. "

The St. Louis County Department of Health reports unlike dogs, human feces spread diseases such as Hepatitis A, Salmonella, and Shengelia.
When Ameren customer service did not respond, the homeowner contacted KSDK. Within an hour a supervisor with Shade Tree went out to the home to investigate and a representative with Ameren Missouri had called the couple to apologize.

When I worked for an auto parts store some years ago all the parts were delivered overnight in large plastic "fishtotes" that were wire-tied shut to prevent loss. One day while opening the previous nights shipment there was one tote that someone used as their toilet and then wire-tied shut. It was pretty disgusting and went right into the dumpster. We never had anyone fess up to it and never did figure out if it was suppose to be a practical joke or not. I guess when you gotta go, you gotta go
