When we see this man and his story are we not reading the story of humanity?
I am surprised they didn't just kill him and take his land.
That at least puts us a step above most, little though it may be.
Still it is rather barbaric when you just look at the situation on its face. The things we do for money.

Well you know he is white and so they didn't eminent domain him at least.

I mean look if a developer is buying all the houses around you what do you think's going to happen to the neighborhood around you. It's going to change big time and be big buildings and you're going to have shade.

It's sad. And they should fix the finding his house thing for emergency purposes for sure. Other than that he has really no reason to complain about the shade.

But if all your neighbors are agreeing, and it's their right to sell as well, and so you should expect what's coming if you're going to make that place your last stand. Sounds like everybody next to him thought they got a fair shake.

But if we lived like moonbeam wanted us to live, We would have never built any real city in the first place.

Oh wait moonbeam thinks cities are evil. That's the whole point. Never mind.

And moonbeam is such a humanitarian, except when it comes to the horrific inhumanity of the gun fetishists in this country. And keeping housing completely unaffordable thus further driving wealth inequality and people into poverty and homelessness.

Thank god the local government kept this crank from derailing much needed development.

Imagine being so entitled that you turn down a deal for a new house and $500,000 on top of it, all so you can continue to try and control development on land you don't own. What a jackass.

You see properties like this in basically any big city where the owner decided not to sell and life moved on around them.

Just owning a plot of land does not confer the right to stop time for everybody else around you.

He'd rather people live on the streets than have to look at an apartment building.

Old, rich, and stubborn to the point of putting his family in danger. Sounds like the story of humanity alright.
