Right now it would be 17 to 19 day difference and could be more if it takes a while for giganews to upgrade their retention again like it did once but I didn't care.

I don't know about last year, but this guy has been posting all sorts of crap comparing newsgroup service and torrents over the last couple weeks.
 
It takes too long to download headers now. I already had to switch to newsbin from grab-it because the database kept crashing.

Yeah, and I SWEAR i'm getting dejavu. Some posts about newsgroups, some incoherency, some short, fragmented sentences.. Just can't put my finger on it...
