Something Ive learned over the years. When I get mad instead of throwing something, or punching a wall which will hurt you badly, and either make you more mad (causing you to do it again) or make you regret it, is to punch a bed. The matress simply springs your arm upwards and you can viciously beat the crap out of it till your arm is tired. Great fun.

I agree with the control your anger/rage.

BUT

Gravis used to make PC joysticks that they said were "unbreakable", maybe they do now?

I've broken two PS2 controllers.

One was during a heated NHL 2003 tournament where my buddy scored a goal from CENTRE ICE to win the game in OT. The other was playing FIFA 2002 and the computer decided to pull these moves that are not part of the game and score (read: the computer cheated) to rob me of the victory.

Hmmm, maybe it's something with EA games? :D

Come on everyone... my little brother figured this out a long, long time ago!

Instead of throwing the controller, you just punch the guy you're playing against...

My six year just tries to start to beat the crap out of anyone who beats him in EA NCAA Basketball. You and my six year old should play some time.

I don't know what would be funnier, you getting beat by a six year old at a game, or the six year old trying to beat the crap out of you because you beat him.

I'm sure there is a huge market for twenty pound, milled steel PS2 controllers that cost upwards of a hundred bucks.

Or, you should control your rage over a video game.

I get extremely frustrated somtimes, but I've never broken a controller over it. Maybe I've thrown a controller once or twice when I was REALLY ticked off, but I can't even remember doing that.

Controllers are too expensive nowadays to break, anyway. :p

and you all call yourself videogamers? puh-leeezee...

everybody gets pissed and throws a controller once in a while. how would an all-metal controller do? anyone thinking like a Ti/Al alloy? it'd be sorta expensive.. but it'd work
