Look at pics of yourself at those ages. I bet you will be surprised at how young you look.
Puts things in perspective when estimating someones age. So that can help in a social situation.

I have a hard time telling the difference in ages, and it is getting worse as I get older. I can usually guess a girls age within 2 year either way (4 year window total). However, there is a big difference between 14 and 18. All I know is that 14 year olds when I was 14 (in 1993) didn't look like today's 14 year olds. It is really kind of scary that I can mistake a 14 year old for an 18 year old.

The older I get, the more I am amazed at what I once thought was "hot." Namely, 14-17 year old women. Even 18-20 look pretty baby-faced.

I can't blame it on getting older; I always have been lousy at judging age

Something I realized along the way :

It's not that I ever was any good at telling a girl's age by her face, but when I was 14, I knew what 14 year olds acted like, how they talked, what little differences there were in dress vs an 18 year old. When I was 18 I knew what 18 year old girls acted like which made them easy to pick out from a crowd of teenage girls. Once removed from that age group my old references are obsolete. Little differences in fashion, in hair style, in mannerisms, in language - a variety of things that you aren't privy to once you move on to the next stage in life.

How come every time I look for something, I always find it in the last place I look?

Because once you find it you stop looking.
