This is actually the last sign of the real Mayan Apocalypse.

It's been fun...and the cat says thanks for all the fish.

My cat-loving, lives alone (except for his cats) brother-in-law would cream his jeans over this. This is a guy who has one of his recently deceased felines on his credit card (not kidding) that is also the wallpaper on his smartphone. Sigh....

I used to think cat people who lived alone were pretty...well, you know, strange, but I work with several of those types and I think it's just a fill-in for human companionship, so it sort of makes sense in a way. Either they have a struggle making friends and don't have (or don't like) their family, or they just plain don't want social interaction and the cats fill in the blank for them. I actually met one person recently who was the latter - she dated a friend of mine, great person, just liked her cats & job more than hanging out or dating and didn't really want to be involved or bothered with anything else. It almost seems like the hoaders TV show in some cases, where there's an emotional root cause to the behavior (not that owning a cat is bad or anything) - I know some of them stem from childhood issues like a divorce in the family or something like that.

Uh, anyway, cat cameras. Yeah. Back on topic ;)

Hmm, how does this work exactly? Could you leave the camera set up on a tripod and leave the house and come back to some automatically taken cat pics? If so, I think I'm going to have to get one of these for the wife....

I bet cat-detection kills the batteries.

Next up, ghost-detection for them paranormal investigators.

Reminds me of one review of the D90: "a camera that seems to be uniquely suited to photographing cats".
