For one short moment, some of the most powerful computers in the world could be hacked together with code, wire, and PS3s.
I mean, just think, if they thought about distributing tasks over the internet... or maybe they did, latency would certainly be worse with distributed-computing over the internet, as compared with a localized PS3 cluster.
Pretty neat, though, overall. No wonder we didn't want Iran getting PS3 consoles.
