TheSims freezes at night! Help!

Hey Anandtechers,

TheSims freezes at this certain point in the game in the evening. Same house, family, and around the same 30 minute place every time: 7:15pm. The audio keeps working, and I hear the game keep moving forward(sims snoring, etc), but I have no video movement OR interface control. I am forced to reboot the game and it becomes a loop.

Any suggestions? I am running WinXP Pro on a NTFS drive running the patched version of Sims on a Radeon 8500 with a SB Live! 5.1 <--both of which are patched to the max.
