I wasn't sure what to expect from a set of computer speakers, but these things have got some punch to em. I had my box hooked up to an old sony bookshelf system before (15W/channel), and the difference is downright amazing.

The "downside" I've noticed though, is that I'm gonna have to throw out alot of my MP3 collection. Alot of 128kbps songs sound like ass now.. the bass is muddled, the highs artifacted, and lots of noise. You have been warned!

I know how that is - just a consequence of owning the best! I always thought it was my onboard sound but I'm thinking now that it's my stupid mp3s!

I hear ya. I got Diva Swan M-200 speakers and a Santa Cruz. Alot of my mp3s sound like crap now! Maybe I'm gonna have to start listening to CDs, which I own of course.

Edit: I used these speakers with my onboard AC97 sound for a few days before getting the TBSC. Believe me, it's both the mp3s and the sound card.

z560s are girl scout speakers compared to my titans and 12 inch sub. :D

Theyre pretty damn good for the price though, although they do tend to blow easily, and logitech are a bunch of retards when it comes to RMAs.

Hmm the TBSC software has an option in the control panel to to set the equalizer to "internet music". It emphasizes the highs and lows. Try using your equalizer to compensate for the mp3s.

i wanna pair my z560's with a tbsc... my audigy gamer is crapping out for unknown reasons...
skips mp3's and the tasktray "A" just keeps disappearing... anyone know how to fix this or why it happens?

btw, is the software the comes with tbsc the same if not better than creative's audigy?
i've heard good things about turtle beach and it seems like the best route for mp3 listener like me

I've never used the software except the stuff included with the driver. The CD is still in my car.

Actually, the best thing to do is to tackle the EQ manually... turn down the punch on it, because these things ARE designed to be over powered.. (the sub)

I thought 128 was CD quality?

Yeah but if the person who ripped the track has a crap computer or their software is cheap, then you'll get pops and distorted highs. 192 Kbps is ideal for me - it's the golden medium between HDD space and quality.
