I'm new to A64 overclocking and didn't know much about HTT and how it relates to bus speed, etc.
Just want to make sure some setting is not really low and I'm running at some slow setting and not realizing it.
Athlon 64 3200+ (2.0Ghz Venice) 1.525v
Gigabyte K8NF (Nforce 4)
2x1 Corsair XMS 3200
These are from CPU-Z
Core Speed: 2700
Multiplier: 10x
Bus Speed: 270
HT Link: 810
Memory is:
Frequency: 225
Cas: 3
Command Rate: 1T
Down the line it would read 3-4-4-10-13 1T
From what I understand HT on the nforce 4 is only 800, not 1000. I've been running Prime95 several hours now with no problems.
I can't (figure out anyway) adjust ram speed in mhz increments, only dividers. HTT only changes on a multiplier (2x, 2.5x, etc.).
I can probably run tighter mem timings from what I've read, but how much difference will that make?
There anything odd looking with those numbers?
Edit: Not to mean I'm new to overclocking, just been oc'ing laptops and not desktops the past couple of years.
