Thermoengine HEAT with a 1.1 t'bird

So I was at my friends house and brought over my thermoengine I have yet to use. He has a volcano 2 with a stock fan and gets temps around 95 deg. When we stradled a thermoengine w/ 7k delta fan on that bad boy it immediatly said temps were at 125+ deg. He has an Abit kt7A-raid. What happened in this situation?? I thought the thermoengine kicked arse.:Q

The Thermoengine isn't that great, IMO. On my Abit KT7A it would read 115 F under load with my Duron 800. Not much better than a stock style CPU fan, only a couple degrees cooler.

Since then I've moved to Aquastealth II with only a low speed 80mm fan on the radiator. At stock speeds the temp stayed down around 95 F under load. With it overclocked to 1GHz and 1.800V it runs 111 F under load. Ambient temps around almost at 80 F. Go water cooling! If I can find a fan that's quiet and moves more air, temps will drop significantly.

Otherwise, you'll have to get some super noisy air cooling HSF.

quite high temps for a watercooling setup...im running 1.1ghz @ 1.85v with a FOP32-1 and i have current temps of 102F for CPU with a 86F ambient
