Im thinking about purchasing this case but I was looking for some more tech info.

Anyone know how loud this case will be with 7 fans plus AMD cooler?
Are these fans worth replacing or are they top notch?

I dont understand how all the fan lingo translates to sound and cfm/rpm.

Here is the link to the one I want

Ill be getting an A7N8X, 2700+, WD 80G SE, 2 x corsair 3200 256, 9700pro and misc (floppy, dvd....etc) I ill NEED a power supply....so give me suggestions.

Is this case overkill or can I go with one of those Chenming/Chieftech X-pider cases?

Im new to all this and really need some help in building a system that will remain cool yet quiet.

Oh yeah
Im NOT planning on overclocking anything....everything will be default.

Thx in advance.

It might be a little overkill, but its all up to you. The case is what you will be living with so you need to like the looks. If you like the looks of the Xaser III, then by all means go for it.

The fans being used in the case are suppose to be 21 db fans. I would assume they are also the same 21 db fans that thermaltake sells, so their cfm rating sould be on thermaltake's site (sorry, I'm too lazy to look it up). 7 fans running together will produce a bit of noise, about as much as a 35db fan (many CPU fans are that loud or louder). There should be plenty of air moving through the case, so you shouldn't need to worry about that.

As for power supply, an Antec TruePower 430 or 350 should meet your needs.

NEVER trust TT's db spec~!
TT is known to inflat their cfm rating and cut their db readings.
21db is likely to be a 25~28db.

Yes, don't trust ThermalTakes specs. You are better off getting a Cheming case for half the price of Xaser (same case, TT just replaced the piece of plastic in the front and upped the price) and getting some NMB fans. They will cool your case fine, and even with 6 of them, the only noise created by them is the sound of air moving (which you can't get around). But remember, your comp is only as quiet as the loudest component. So choose your hd, video card fan, or CPU hsf carefully.
