Thermaltake Xaser III V1000a Super Tower Question

Hey All...

I have this case, and like it, but I can't stand that LCD Display/Temperature/Fan Control, so I removed the unit, and now the Front Panel looks akward as it has a spot on the door that makes up the space for the LCD to stick out. Here is a linky.

Do you know if there is a place I can go to buy a replacement Front Panel door that does not have this opening? I checked the TT website to no avail. I may be grasping at straws here, but wanted to throw out the question.

I was looking at this case..looks sweet...any other cons?

Does it have removable mobo tray???..if not how bad was getting everything setup..I hated the fact my antec sx830 does not have a removable mobo tray

btw ..on the top does it have a microphone input jack?

Hey Nealh...

1 - I don't like the LCD Readout because the closest I can put a temp probe is on the HSF close to the heatspreader, and that is not the most accurate. Plus, I am not a big fan of the fan control, because the case comes with 7 fans, and several of them are connect to one channel. Finally, this version of Hardcano (Ver. 9 I believe) is not as cool looking as Version 13 (latest one).

2 - Cons - Heavy as balls!!!!

3 - No Removable mobo tray. A lot of room though! The top USB/Audio Panel/Firewire connects are a little annoying because the wires barely reach them on the mobo (based on mobo of course)

I have the same case, I love it, just modded the side fan thingy to take a 120

Hmm..how do you know what version of HArdcano you would get? This is a very new case why would you not get version 13?

I was reading regarding the top panel usb, audio , firewire connectors can be an issue...do you know if you could run it so they connected into the back panel of your mobo?
