ThermalTake Xaser III "thermal probe for processor"

I recently purchased the Xaser III Tower case and when trying to connect the thermal probe to the processor I noticed that it is way too long. It is 1/4 inch or more too long to attach to the belly of my P4. Has anyone else had this problem? Does any one have any suggestions? I have tried to contact Thermaltake but they are useless!

You seem to have posted in the wrong forum! But we're a friendly bunch here in the Distributed Computing section 🙂



You will probably not want to place the thermal probe on top of your CPU (between it and the heatsink), it is best to place it down the side, touching the side of the CPU, and use a little thermal paste to make contact 🙂
