Take a good look at the size and area of the front intake area - quite small. This limited area will result in higher temps than other cases with larger openings due to the lack of airflow. Another thing limited air flow will do is cause the front fan to spin faster than normal, causing extra noise, because the blades don't have air resistance to slow them down. The main question is, is the area large enough? Based on the number of happy customers with that case the answer would have to be it's ok. But if you want a low temp system, there are better case choices.

Just my opinion.

I have one. If my case temps are being reported right then they're very low. It's usally around 20°-25°C acording to MBM. The side fan may be affecting the temp more than the front fan.

Do a google searh on Thermaltake Tsunami. It gets very good reviews for air flow. Plus, there's the 92mm fan that blows down right onto cpu heatsink and fan. Good case.

The Tsunami is ever popular aroudn review sites these days it would seem...
My friend ordered one off of Newegg and recieved it a couple weeks ago. When I went to his hosue last Friday, I was sure to check it out. His setup, which included an OC'd Intel Pentium 4 560, generates tons of heat. His RAM is OC'd (OCZ PC 3700) and he's got an ATi X800 Pro OC'd (not sure how much). Anyways, his case seemed to take it fine, although Idle his CPU hovered around 50. It jumped to 58 under load, getting a little high (my CPU hits 68 sometimes :S). The case temperatures I'm not exactly sure of, but it seemed to be a lot cooler than mine, which is about 34. He modded his though...his dad owns a machine shop (uber rich?!!!). He basically got a custom done tube of metal that directs a side fan straight onto the CPU (which is cooled by a Zalman 7700, not sure which type exactly), so I was still a little struck by his CPU being so hot. Chances are that it's just his specific cooler or something of the sort though. I believe his CPU is OC'd to 4.1GHz, which could obviously offset things. Overall, for $100 it isn't bad, although I think you should wait for it to get cheaper or look for something similar but cheaper. I would expect a 450W PSU with the case for that kind of money.

If the side fan fan is blowing air onto the chipset heatsink, then yes, yes it is. That's a pretty good temp:thumbsup:

Hmmm. Thanks for the advice guys. I'll have another look at the Thermaltake Tsunami, then I'll decide.
