I ordered this PSU on a whim (after my generic PSU started showing signs of failure) on a whim, because Newegg offered me a $20 credit for my PSU failure.. I was going to go with the antec earthwatt that's been recommended but this one only ended costing me $20.09 shipped..

Should I cancel the order and go with the earthwatt, or will this be fine?

what are you powering? Only 18A (216W) of 12V....no active PFC...the Earthwatt 430W would certainly be a better unit. Even the Earthwatts 380W has more 12V power.

Amd 45w processor, blu ray drive, integrated video (780g chipset), tv tuner card.

Ugh, I should have just spent more on an earthwatt..

By now they've almost surely charged you and you can't cancel it anymore. If you can, then yeah I'd say cancel ASAP. If not, its up to you whether you want to send it back when you get it or not

Next time do some research. ;)

It won't blow up on you and it has enough power since you only use integrated video, but it isn't that great of a buy.

I'm sure Thermaltake rakes it in on these drives.

They're not the most powerful PSUs around, they are quite weak on the 12V rail, but they seem adequately constructed. If your system will run off of one, then it will probably run off of one for quite a while.

Like said, it will work just fine but you should have gotten the Earthwatts. It's way more efficient and powerful.
