Thermaltake Spark 7

Unfortunately your reply sucks. I have been using a Spark 7 for quite some time, and it is a solid performer for a ~20.00 unit. The build quality is top notch, and the adjustable fan is a plus. The hinges make for easy mounting/removal. All you need to do is lap the bottom of it with some 600 grit sandpaper to a nice flat and smooth finish and you're all set.

Thermaltake tends to go for glitzy looks over actual cooling, therefore my remark.

Do you own one?

If not then you're in no position to offer a valid opinion.

I've installed a number of Thermaltake coolers in various systems. But I generally don't use Thermaltake any longer. You are welcome to guess why.

For those who are running the Spark 7. Is it better to run the fan at the max setting all the time or use the temp probe to regulate the fan speed?

I used to use that hsf. It was extremely loud for low temp (and the pitch annoyed the hell out of me). I got tired of it and bought a zalman cnps7000a-cu. It actually performed better than the TT spark 7 (It dropped around 3 degrees C). Bottomline: with the better products out there...I can't reccomend it.
