Thermaltake Sonic Tower?

Any ideas about this , currently own a Zelman cnps7700Alcu and even at 4.0v the fan spins at 760 Rpm and seems noisy to me ... system is running 24/7 with cool and quiet enebled at temps are at 34C/30C ...

any inputs on that here is the link..

Sonic Tower

Have you actually stopped each fan individually to see which one is producing the noise? I see four other noise sources in your computer.

yeah, that hs makes a shitload of moment because of how far it extends out... why don't you just turn your fan off? i almost always can run passive cooling on my cnps6500 in my thermaltake VA4000 case. (p4 2.2 passive.. goes from 40-50C during load)

tried temp goes up to upper 50's as soon as i put hours of load on it....

I went from Silent Tower to watercooling. I didn't like the noise (not that much, but enough). As far as torque what concerns are there? It is solid on the MB. I bet if you played catch with your system it wouldn't do nothing except run excellently after you were finished fooling around. MB's aren't made of cardboard.

Lysawy - i read your signature and was wondering if you had any compatibility problems with the AIW 9600xt and the Zelman Vf700Alcu, if you could let me know.. thanks...

It's weight is about 600 grams, thats full 400 grams less than 7700. fins are made of aluminium, so most of it's weight is at bottom (base of the tower)
So, despite it's height, it probably makes much less stress on motherboard and cpu socket than zalman 7700.
And yes, sonic tower is best passive cooler, the only thing that makes it perform bad - according to this forum like ussualy - is "thermaltake" writing on it 😀

Yes you have to cut some fins out and it fits perfectly , on 5v silent mode i cant even notice its there ....

As for the sonic tower got it installed and man that is some nice stuff kinda heavy but temps keep steady at idle 34c and 47c at load but i do have a 80x80x15 fan spinning at 4v 1000rpm just in case....
