I'm looking otbuy a new PSU unit for one of my computers and was going to pop for an Antec TruePower 430W when I stumbled across Thermaltake's PurePower 420:
Thermaltake PurePower 420
Antec TruePower 430
Judging by the specs they are very similar and both use thermally controlled fans.
What I'm looking for:
- Quiet, sweet sweet peace and quiet.
- Capacity to support my next CPU/moboupgrade (Prescott or Hammer) and not buckle if I choose to overvolt a bit.
- QUIET operation
Online price for the PurePower is significantly cheaper than the TruePower, so that definitely gives it an advantage as price is a concern
Can any owners comment on the noise put out by the PurePower (subjective, I know)?
Judging by the reviews I've read however, either of these should be good for my next upgrade though
Any comments and/or suggestions are, as always, appreciated. 🙂
Update
Got it and installed it, The voltages are actually more consistent than my previous Antec (Non-TruePower 350W). Very quiet, a little quieter than my previous Antec. Thumbs up on a solid, quiet power supply, that retails significantly cheaper than Antec's TruePower series.
