Hey guys,

I'm looking for a new PSU that's quiet and powerfull and I stumbled upon this one that seems to be quite a good deal. I've read a few reviews and they seemed quite positive. I'd like to know if someone has this PSU and if it's good enough. I won't be using the hsf that comes with the kit. Finally, is the 120mm case fan also quiet ?

Thanks,
Justin

For those of you that have taken C++ Thermaltake!=Quiet

For those who haven't... the words quiet and thermaltake do not belong in the same sentence. The PSU is not good... has IIRC only 18A on the 12V rail, and is not good quality.

As for the Case FAN, no it is going to be extrmely noisy. Just get a 120mm Panaflo fan.

I know you aren't using it but the CPU fan is a POS that might in some cases cool better than stock.

If you want a good quiet system operation get this.

Seasonic PSU: ~60
Panaflo 120mm Fan: ~9
Enermax Fan Controller with LCD: ~40

You just saved $20 and got much better quality.

Hi, well, which seasonic psu would you recommend me now ?

the super silencer or the super tornado?
How about silenX PSU's ... are they any good ?
As for case fans, which would you recommend, other than Panaflo. They seem to get good reviews, but at the same time the specs show that it has a 30dB sound level which is pretty high (I'd like the lowest possible noise) ... So how about silenX 120mm fans.. are they any good ? I have two vantec stealth and they're anything but stealth :( ...
thanks for the help, I was just about to buy the thermaltake!
