I am just wondering if it needs the mobo to acutally run because my mobo comes on saturday so i wanted to test the power supply and reason my frined could come up with it needs the psu, i am just wonder if tat is true? here is the link for the psu link, i just used the on and off switch on the back of it or do i have to wire the power switch?

You need to plug the psu into the motherboard first, then connect the power bottum, reset bottum, case led, etc etc to your mobo, should be in the intruction manaul for the mobo what to connect to what. after then you can test it.

hmm so i have to have a motherboard? and my manual doesnt say have anything about testing the mobo, and in the intro its just the stats

I was talking about the manaul to the motherbaord, it tells you which slots to plug in the power, reset, power led etc switches. So yes you need the mother board, then you plug the case wires into the motherboard as instucted in the manual an you should get the computer turned on.

take a piece of wire, and short circuit green and black wire on MoBo connector. That will start the PSU. Don`t worry about it.... green on is used fo sending ON signal to PSU
