This isn't a pro or con TT thread so please no flames...

I just bought their Giant III cooler for my 9800 Pro a few days ago and I checked out their website today to find the same exact thing without the routing out for the fan and they call it their "Silent solution." I also saw the SilentBOOST at Microcenter with a Mad Dog sticker on the fan itself, yet still in the TT packaging. I think their employees were all a little into Mr. Potato Head as a kid seeing how they like to mix and match parts that they have laying around... Not really a bad thing or a good thing... just funny to watch happen.

TT still makes good products, they just have so many. They don't concentrate their efforts on one line or anything, so its hard for them to be the best at stuff. The Xaser cases are great cases, their HS's used to be the best around (b4 Thermalright), you can't just make a generic statement "TT is crap", that just shows your ignorance.

The Xaser cases are nice except I think it's too flashy and the designs are ugly as hell. Their hsf's were good but damn loud or at least their dragonorb series. When I had that, I could hear it from downstairs.

I agree. TT is crap.

agreed

the Xaser is over done like everything else they do

coolermaster makes a classy case like the wavemaster, TT comes along and steals the design, takes away the class by making it overly flashy, and the Tsunami is born

I got some of their stuff before I started looking into products that were effective and quiet. Now I only buy them when I am building a budget case or someone wants a "rice" box.

Otherwise, I now buy antec cases and thermalright or zalman hsf and psu's.

I've bought a few TT products in the last year. Why? Pretty damn good customer support.

I bought a HardCano 5 HD Cooler. The fan started rattling and the battery in the LCD died after about a year. I emailed TT and they sent me a 40mm YS Tech BB fan (the original was a Thermaltake sleeve) and several complete LCD temp. monitoring units!

I bought a Thermaltake PurePower 420W from a local store in the UK. The PSU blew in a storm (the electricity circuits are kinda old). The store had shut down. I emailed TT and they sent me a new one from Taiwan and I chucked the old one away.

So I also bought the Giant II and SilentBoost late last year. If they provide support for their products I have no problem buying the decent ones (they do make a load of crap) but they do pay the courier postage from Taiwan to UK - £80 for the PSU!

I remember Vantec telling me to get lost after similar circumstances. Its refreshing seeing a company genuinely caring about its customers.

I've always said the same thing, but I must excluded the Venus 12 A64 cooler I have now. Incredibly easy to install, a couple different methods to control fan speed, cools very well, and I got it for $34 shipped from SVC awhile back so it's has demonstarted price/performance/features/and asthetics I didn't thin TT was capable of :)

I like TT, they make solid reliable products. I have 3 products from them, giant III on my 9800pro, 480w butterfly psu and my old aquarius2 liquid cooling that i sold awhile ago.

Never had a problem with any of them, they preform exactly how their advertised to. I love how they provide benchmarks and reviews from serveral sites on the site for each product.

TT products also hold a high "coolness" factor in my opinion for some products, some products they make are butt ugly and riced out tho like the xaser cases.
