None of you are helping him at all, i agree with you but your not helping. I would suggest emailing thermaltake for some help. BTW do you have a link to the specific product to see if it will even fit your card?

And ya know what? You can take it off and put it on your upgraded video card when you get it! Good purchase.

Which model is it? I was under the impression that the 2 "major" heatpipes don't make contact with the RAM, only the GPU so I'm surprised you got the memory up so much higher. Can you find a link for it, and does it make contact with the RAM?

Also, I agree that a TT heatpipe and a 9200 is way overkill, however modding older cards is not only kinda fun for some of us, but it's also very logical -- what would you rather attempt to mod first, a $60 9200 or a $300 9800 Pro. I'm thinking of getting one of these for my GF4 Ti4600 soon, just to have a card I can o/c this sh!t out of and not worry about the warranty at all. On my 9800np, I'm just not ready to take the GPU HSF off yet.

I put a TT Heatpipe on my 9800PRO and I gotta say that although it is big, it is worth the effort. The cost was not too bad (£15) seeing that it is a big chunk of aluminium. Having said that, it must completely engulf your 9200, which is bound to be much smaller than my 9800.

PPL, don't forget that he can also re-use his TT Heatpipe if and when he upgrades his graphics card. There are two fitting kits and instructions provided for both ATI and nVidia cards.

Edit: You can also fit Coolermaster ALUMINIUM/COPPER RAMsinks under the TT Heatpipe cooler without any other mods. Just remember to cut the Thermal tape to the size of the ram chips. Ok.....they did only cost £2 so I couldn't resist....

Yeah I basically got it because hopefully Santa *cough*girlfriend*cough* drops a 9800 PRO AIW in my stocking this year. :) I wanted to be 100% sure how to install it before I got that card and hey, it looks cooler than hell on my 9200 right now.

Yeah I bought some OCZ Ramsinks as well which allowed me to oc my memory a little more. I'm at 325/265 right now and still rising slowly. =)

Ah, there we go. Ramsinks as well. Did you get the copper ones or the aluminum ones? I got the Aluminum ones myself, and they are AWESOME for my 9800np. Also, if you look at the pictures at the aluminum and copper RAMsinks, they have similar surface area; the fins are a bit bigger on the copper ones, but there are much more of them on the aluminum so IMO I think the aluminum ones might be a bit better.

So, if you can fit those RAMsinks under the TT heatpipe that means I could get a heatpipe for my 9800, which is nice.

One thing is that often video cards aren't that limited by cooling - it's more voltage (combined with cooling) that they need. however, it looks like the 9600 cards and 9200 cards (apparently) do have lots of headroom, so cooling is a plus.
