Hi,

I just got a Visiontek GF4 mx440 graphics card (not my first choice....Its a long story.) I removed the stock passive heatsink and replaced it with a Vantec copper vga cooler which is working fairly well. I lapped both the gpu and base of the heatsink and used Arctic Silver 3 in between. Currently I have the core at 340 mhz and memory is at 500. The sliders are maxed out! I want to go higher. I have no heatsinks on the memory, but I have some aluminum ones that I will apply later. I was wondering if the ThermalTake gf4 cooler will fit on an MX card? It seems that the push pins that it uses are further away from the gpu on the Ti line of cards. The Vantec also uses the push pins but I think they are closer. Just wondering if the ThermalTake kit would be a worthwhile investment?

What software should I use to overclock beyond the driver limitations?

Aha!

Thanks zodder, this is exactly what I was looking for. Is it better to enable driver overclocking or low-level hardware overclocking?

Right now I'm at 360 core and 511 memory! Stock is 270/400. This is unreal! With my older GeForce 2 Ti I was able to go from about 250 core to only about 273. I'm pushing 8,000 3dmarks too. I'm still using the same Vantec copper gpu cooler. Hopefully, lapping the heatsink and the gpu itself helped me get the extra Mhz.

Does anyone like the ThermalTake cooler?
