Recently got this and installed it on PNY's Ti4600 card. Did a small wire mod/hack and hooked up the 3rd wire to the motherboard to get a rotational speed reading via Motherboard Monitor. But the utility (and the BIOS too) reads it at around 6000RPM. Thermaltake's site says that the fan runs at 5500RPM +/-10%. Okay, so mathematically speaking this is within their spec. But all the fans I've ever used were "on spec". Meaning, if I was using a 2500RPM 80mm fan, MBM would say it's running at around 2450RPM. Even given the headroom of +/-10%, that's at a limit range of 2250-2750RPM. And none of the fans I've used has ever dipped to that low of a speed (unless managed) or blazed to that high of a speed. Does anyone else own this and have noticed the same thing? Or am I the only one who has a fan running much beyond what Thermaltake originally specified?
