Does anyone have experience with the thermaltake fans, specifically the 80mm one? I just want to know what the airflow and noise is like and if they are reliable. Thanks.

I had one running on my Tt 7 and the performance was great. It isn't as loud as others, but you will know it's there when it revs up. Max RPM is 5000. I just replaced it with an 80mm Antec smart fan from CompUSA rated at 2900RPM MAX and it is VERY quiet.
Nice combo and it is still running cool.

To answer your question more directly: the Tt fans work very well but there are quieter options.

I used to have a Thermaltake 80mm 37cfm/32dBA fan (TT-2205A or something), and it was far from quiet. 32dBA my foot! Texun is right, there are better fans out there.

I would suggest searching this forum for "Thermaltake" or "Everflow", Gizzo also mentions reliability issues.

I replaced the crap AddA Exhaust one on my Lian Li with a thermaltake and it`s superb, best fiver I spent in ages, similar spec to a Panaflo or YS-Tech with less cost than the former and less noise than the latter, similar-ish spec too, shame my local supplier has stopped stocking them :(

Ok, thanks for the replies. I am comparing this to a panaflo H1A, does the performance of the panaflo over the thermaltake justify the price including buying a tail and such?

The Panaflo is definately a better quality fan (Ideal for crucial things like the CPU), but for case fans I found that the thermaltake - and the YS-Techs for that matter - offer excellent bang for buck. if you actually SEE both units you can see the quality difference.
