ThermalTake CPU Fan vs. ThermalRight XP-90 CPU Fan

My P4 non-oc'd 2.26Ghz is going crazy these days. Its temperature goes up to 74C (using Intel stock CPU heatsink & fan) after I cleaned it with a vacuum. I'm considering buying new CPU heatsink & fan now.

I was told water cooling isn't a long-lasting solution because the water pump breaks overtime.

It looks like Thermaltake and Thermalright is the best for heatsinks.

Any suggestions? If I pick the Thermalright, which fan should I use to accompany it?

Many thanks,
Kevin

There is no doubt that the Xp-90 is a great heatsink.

I have a P4 2.4 and it started running hot. I took off the stock fan and all of the fins were clogged with dirt/dust. I gave it a once over with the vacuum. Back to running cool again.

May or may not help you out but I saved $40 with a little housecleaning inside the rig

Fixed ;)

The thermalright xp-120 is the best air cooled heatsink you can get, if it doesn't fit on your board, then the next best thing would definitely be the thermalright xp-90.

Edit: Oh and for the xp-120 - 120mm panaflo, xp-90 - 92mm panaflo.

Thermaltake Beetle, awesome cooling, looks crazy in a windowed case too. This thing gives anything ThermalRight makes a run for their money... I have one, and mounted a 2nd 80mm fan on the back of it, I bet it'll outcool a xp-120. Not that the xp-90/120 are bad, they are top end heatsinks.
