the topic pretty much sums it up. im tired and im not to good at searching for information when im tired, so im just goint to ask. is the Blue Orb 2 compatible with the AM2 mounting bracket type? im considering building a low power HTPC/file server and im going to be using a DFI JR 790GX board and a 4850e with 2x1gb of DDR2 800, and i plan on underclocking the system down to not much above the point at which the CPU speed is just enough to do what it needs to do. I want the system to be SUPER quiet and low power, since right now im using my gaming system for my media playback needs as well as gaming and just browsing in general, and with 5 HDDs, 2 DVD drives, an athlon 4000+ an HD2900PRO 1gb, ect ect, the system probably draws a LOT more power than it needs to for a system which is predominately used right now for watching movies, since i havent been gaming as much at home as of late.
so, if this cooler wont work with an AM2 socket board, can someone recommend one that isnt very tall, since this will be going in a uATX case. i want something that is under 20DB if possible
ed: for the record i havent kept up with AMD hardware as much since the conroe line came out, so i havent kept up on my coolers at all lol
