Want to hear your thoughts on those that are using it. I've read reviews about how it's about the equivelent to the XP-120 when it comes to cooling. And for me that would be enough since I want something near quiet that I can OC and play around with a bit.
 
Then why don;t you buy XP-120 or SI-120 or Thermaltake Big typhoon, or even XP-90C. They are alot cheaper and works better or i should say way better than some water cooling kits.
 
Space wise, I have had both the XP-120 and XP-90 and they are some pretty big heatsinks (but they kick some a$$ too). Was looking for a cheaper watercooling solution that also looks pretty decent and came across this one. I have read reviews, but wanted to get some feedback from those that have been using it for awhile.

Did you overclock it or just regular at 1.8ghz.

But i heard it have week pump. What do you say about it.

 
Is now running@2200Mhz since I have some stability problems with my Mobo (I think it's diying). The temp is being taken with an external thermal sensor from my Harcano 12. The idle ambient temp denta is now 3ºC 😉

EDIT: The pump works pretty good and makes no noise at all.
 
I reckon the Corsair COOL is alot better than the Bigwater because
firstly the cool has 3/8" fittings unlike the big water's 1/4".
secondly the radiator on COOL (Black Ice Pro)is better than the Bigwater due to being copper based.
thridly its reservoir is better than the big water's one.

But most of the time water cooling kits are expensive and most air coolers are better and cheaper than them. e.g Zalman 9500 or Thermaltake big typhoon.

My Corsair COOL = about 3-5 degrees better idle than my XP-90 with a hard blowing (75+CFM fan) and about 10-15 degrees better at full load the my XP-90. I would say that it performs better than most Air Cooling solutions. 😉
 
XP-120 with a Vantec Tornado 92mm and a duct or two should give pretty similar performance. If you're going to watercool, go all the way and get really good stuff. (Swiftech or Little River waterblock, Ehiem or Swiftech or similar pump, big ol' radiator, gargantuan tubing.) Plus, if you get more "heavy duty" stuff, you can add Peltier coolers, and drop the temps even more.
 
The whole point behind the Bigwater is a nice lil WC'ing setup for beginners. OC'ing is a plus but SILENCE is a priority, which is why I'm looking at watercooling over aircooling. Yes I have used the XP-90, and the XP-120 and the Zalman 120mm...that's not what I want anymore. Plus the Bigwater as another resovior(sp?), a bigger one to use (which I plan on getting) instead of the one that comes with the kit.
 
Raidator** spelling mistake on my part.

Cook1 you do realise that the Big water's raidators have 1/4" fittings (including their cpu block and pump) meaning you cant use other radiators or pumps in the big water setup.

This is the main point which people at xtremesystems avoid big water.
I would rather get Corsair COOL, Asetek Asetek WaterChill Antarctica KT12A-L30, or Switftech.
 
Yes, I'm aware of it. Main point is, I want something that looks good and does about the same job as an air cooling situation MINUS the noise.

In general, you're going to be better off with the COOL. It even has a fair amount of expandibility built in.

 
If I recall, Swiftech makes a few kits. However, they do not perform as well as the air cooling kits.

They outperform the air cooling kits. By large margins.

Hey govtcheez75- What were your load temps with the Opty and xp-90? And they went down to ? with the Corsair COOL? I have the 146 Opty and Big Typhoon and fighting back 50+ C temps with high speed fan on Big T. Looking at water solution.
