Thats a lie. Dont even think of using a Tt fan. In fact the only product i would ever even CONSIDER using is the Big Typhoon (And even then, i dont like the quality).

This problem is pretty isolated in cheap no name fans, Thermaltake, and SilenX (Cant remember any more off the top of my head)

Can you guys recommend me a good 92mm and 120mm fan then?

Also, i have another question... Generally you want intake at the front and outflow at the rear, correct? But you also want more in than out, so if I can have a 92mm fan at the front, and a 120mm at the rear, how should i set it up? Should they both be intake and let the PS take care of outflow?

Woah slow down there.

You generally want equal intake and exhaust. That way you dont create a negative or positive pressure within your case. So you want to balance the CFM of each fan as much as possible.

As for the fans (120mm) i think a good setup would be a Nexus or Yate Loon for both of them. I have also heard good things about the Akasa Amber fans, and the Delta Triple Blades. In my personal experience, in addition to those the Antec Tri-Cools are superb. On their lowest setting they are very very quiet, but still push a decent amount of air.

As for 92mm fans, i recommend looking at Nexus, Yate Loon, and Panaflo (Though the Panaflo 92mm's are quite as good as the legendary 80mm's).

hmm... i've seen a bunch of people around here suggest that positive pressure inside will help keep out dust, which i have had a bit of a problem with

I have one right here in blister pack never opened. Doni't know how well it works, but should work "reasonably" as well as any decent quiet 120mm fan. Indeed the fan blade looks just like the orange Yate Loon in my case down to the color, rough shape of fins and even the diameter. YES, the "13cm" part is the housing and the fan blades are EXACTLY THE SAME AS on a 120mm fan. I just measured, comparing it to my Cooler Master. The diameter of the blade area is 113mm on both fans. The housing on the Tt fan is larger diameter.

As for keeping dust out...
1) use a case with a dust filter
2) raise computer off ground (onto desk for instance)
3) blow it out frequently with compressed air

My computer in a CompuCase 6A19 sits on the ground and the mesh filter catches a suprising amount of dust. Most times I can peel it off in a sheet like the lint filter in my clothes dryer. The inside of my computer stays reasonably clean, with just a light film of dust. Heck, it stays cleaner than the furniture around my place. My system has total negative air pressure.

Maybe it does not have the specs that are advertised, but that does not automatically mean that it sucks.

It will never even approach the specs it claims. The fan is garbage. Look at the recommendations we made in this thread. And then, if that isn't enough, do a search and look at the other thousands of recommendations.

YES it does suck!!! Many people including myself have used those fans.
They are very very noisy!! There is noway the DBA rating is accurate!!

I prefer coolermaster fans to almost any other brand!!

Well, I still have mine and still have not taken it out of the original blister pack, but after comparing it to my 120mm Cooler Master and finding the fan blades to be exactly the same... lost my interest.
 
I bought one of those and installed it in my case. It is the most quiet fan I have in there and the only one I can keep on high and not be bothered by its noise. I have no problems at all with this fan other than it was a tight fit in my case. But, the blades are exactly the same as a 120mm fan so that is disappointing.
 
IMO Arctic Cooling makes decent fans that push some air and are reasonably quiet. I've got a few of their 3TC models. They are okay for exhaust only. I'd get one instead of the Thermaltake if I were wanting such a fan, otherwise I'd just get a Cooler Master or Yate Loon since those are more "normal" and can work as intake as well, plus they are proven designs with known good performance/noise ratio. Also, Cooler Master makes them in various colors and with LEDs, plus some higher RPM models if you need the CFM (meaning you need to read the description to make sure which one you are getting).

I have used the fan.....as a fan its just that a fan...

As a fan that is advertised as being quiet...its NOT in anyway shape or form quiet....even throttled down its still loud!!
