Just a quick plug here

I replaced my Power Cooler 60mm CPU HSF on my XP 2200+ with a Thermalrite AX-7 and Panaflow 80mm fan and my temps dropped about 11-12C! On top of the heat reduction, that annoying "hair dryer" sound from the old HSF is gone too. :) Needless to say, I'm very happy with the setup and recommend it to anyone else.

I'm done now. :p Have a great Friday.

i have XP 2100+ running as XP 2200+ @ 52 idle and ~60C under load...but if i run it at the default speed, i get 48-55C

with AX-7, Sunon 40cfm 80mm, and ASIII

gonna try to unlock it soon and reapply the ASIII, because i know i didn't apply it right (still new to me and somewhat troubling)

Good luck with unlocking it. Personally, I wouldn't want to try that, 'cause I can't afford a new CPU if I fry mine.

doesn't sound normal, I got a mcxc370 with a thermal take 60mm quiet fan on it and my 1700+ runs around 44c-48c. Did you apply thermal compound?
