Thermalright XP-120

Worth upgrading from a stock cooler on an FX55 to this monster? It's about $60 most places I look (as if you guys didn't know that already) - so, I'm curious if that coupled with a ginormous fan would make a noticable impact on performace?

Are you going to overclock with it? If not, you will see absolutely no performance gain from lower temps. Also, make sure to check that it'll actually fit on your board before you buy it.

The XP-90 performs almost as well and fits on more motherboards. Especially if you get the copper version.

not that much more than the stock cooler..... venices usually maxes out at low vcores.... 1.6vcore+ seeems to do nothing really..

I have a thermalright 120 and it is pretty nice... keeps the X2 at a nice and cool load temperature... from what i have read, the 120 can be just as good as some cheap WC units... so... it is worth it i think!
