The heat sink mounts are radically different on the 8800. More than likely, there will be an adapter made for less than $5.

Are you running some kind of HTPC or something where you need to use just that Silencer? It was a good cooler in the day of its release. Now a days though, Kind of hard to justify it...
 
I think this is supposed to replace the V1 and leave the HR-03 as the heavy hitter for the 8800s. Too bad, the all-copper look is nice. It looks like it supports one or two fans, similar to the V1 as well.
