Thermalright Ultra90 on C2D w/ 120mm fan?

Maybe I can get some feedback.

Been trying to figure out which heatsink to get for upcoming c2d cpu. I currently have an HR-01(on my AMD64) which I love but.... NOBODY seems to sell the LGA775 bolt thru kits for it. So I have been trying to decide on a decent budget heatsink.

Ive been debating between the AC freezer 7 or the Ultra90( which seem to be at a great price ATM). From what ive read the Ultra90 performs fairly close to the Ultra120. I was thinking about the Tuniq tower, but im really not the type of person who is wants to spend $50 on a heatsink.

Is there anyone out there that has an ULTRA90 on a Core2Duo cpu and/or know if you can attach a 120mm fan to it? I dont mind even using zipties if I had to. The only thing I hate about the Ultra90 is the fact that it is for 90mm fans.

Anyone with Ultra90 on C2D, how does it perform?

What's wrong with 90mm fans? The Arctic Cooling AF9 is a great, quiet fan and should work fine on a heatsink. The only problem with it is that it may lack the speed sensor wire.

Nothing wrong per say. Just tend to be louder for same airflow, and id have to BUY that, where as I already own a 120mm antec and yate loon. 😛
