I have a Thermalright Ultra-120 from my days of overclocking my Q6600. It did great for 3 1/2 years, but I've moved on to an i2500K and a Gigabyte Z68X-UD3H-B3. From what I've gathered, I need a new bracket and I'll be good to go. However, there seem to be more than one style of bracket that works with the 1156 socket:

Are both compatible? If so, which one should I go for? Any known fitment issues with my motherboard?

The first product you linked says it's compatible with Ultra-120 so it should work. But the one on platinummicro doesn't say it's compatible with Ultra-120. It's for AXP-140.

Then both kits should be compatible... But I have no idea which is better, sorry. I'd probably buy the one that is meant primarily for the Ultra-120

TR has been selling accessory bracket kits for a long time. It's a cheap price to pay, although shipping could double it.
