Thermalright Ultra 120 hsf

As a general rule, the inside of the curve ( <--- faces the direction that the fan will blow air out. So from that picture it looks like it does in fact blow air through the heatsink.

Also be aware that Thermalright has a bad reputation when it comes to the quality of their bases (the part that comes in contact with the CPU). 2 weeks ago I had ordered a Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme (black edition), knowing of their bad reputation I placed the base on the a piece of glass (one of the flattest surfaces you can get) and it rocked back and forth, that is how uneven their base was.

Unless this model has the QC problem with the bases fixed, I would stay away unless you don't mind lapping your heatsink.

-Edit- If you wanted to replace the fan or add a second one, the standard fan clips (first time i've seen them include a 120mm fan with that model) should fit onto that heatsink.
