Thermalright SP-97.... 80mm fan or 90mm fan

Has anybody ever seen a comparison with a Thermalright SP-97, or one of their similar heatsinks, using an 80mm fan vs. a 90mm fan. I am only wondering this because it seems like with a 90mm fan you would be losing a lot of airflow to how much the fan hangs over the ends of the heatsink, not to meantion a larger deadspot.

I would be using one of the following fans:
- Panaflo 80mm BX 39.6 cfm 32 dB 3 pin RPM sensing fan
- Panaflo 92mm BX 48cfm 30 dBa RPM-sensing fan

Thank You

You're probably not getting the maximum effect of the 92mm fan's cfm. ie: a 92mm fan pushing 50cfm would not be as effective as an 80mm fan pushing 50cfm. However, the noise tradeoff is pretty big and worthwhile, IMO.
