Thermalright SP-94 vs. Swiftech MCX478-V vs. Zalman CNPS7000A-Cu for 3.4C Cooling

Subject pretty much says it all, I'm thinking of moving my 3.4C from my Shuttle into a full-size system, and want a well-performing, but also quiet HSF. I've narrowed it down to these 3.

Any of them should work fine. Flip a coin.

I'd probably go with the Zalman because you wouldn't even have to think about what fan to put on it.

Can you even replace the fan on the Zalman? It's not in an enclosure, and I didn't know if you had to do anything special if the fan should ever die.

It can be changed. A lot of us over at SPCR have switched out the stock Zalman fan for a 92mm Aluminum Evercool and isolated the fan while we were at it.

Get the SP-94 with a 92mm Panaflo M1A. 2800rpms and 38cfms. Very quiet, but keep enough airflow for cool operations.

Since you are considering the SP-94, price does not seem to be an issue. Therefore, if it works on your mainboard, get a Thermalright XP-120. Best heatsink out there. If you decide to get the Zalman, get the AlCu version. It has been proven time and again that the CU and the AlCu have the same performance and the AlCu is cheaper and lighter.

That's a nice heatsink, unfortunately it won't fit my motherboard (Asus P4C800-E Deluxe)

TRhe best heatsink for P4's is the Swiftech 478-V with Vantec or Panaflo 92mm fan..I have one with my EE.Very quiet, and keeps the CPU at @ 42C.
