Thinking about ordering the Thermalright SLK-800 and a Vantec Stealth... Anyone using this combo or similar? How do you like it??

edit: added vantec stealth to the title also

I have heard many people rave aobut the SLK-800, (even thought about getting it myself, too much money), but not sureabout the Vantec. I am interested in what a good fan would be to go with it, because I'm thinking about getting the AK-7.

Vantec seems like a nice middle-of-the-road fan to go with for your heatsink. As I recall they are only rebadged Nidec but they have double ball bearings and have a lifetime warranty.

I am currently using that same combo, a stealth fan and the slk800 on my xp 1700+ oc'd to 1900+. I change fans frequently though but this combo is doing very well. The slk800 is a premo beast and probably the best non-water cooled heatsink on the market so about any fan will still be sufficient. Unless you plan to do heavy overclocking.

I'm thinking about getting the AK-7

You must mean the SK7 or the AX7. Both are darn good, the sk7 is just under the slk800 in performance.

SLK-800 + YS-Tech Silent 80mm (20dBa, 27CFM)
Cools my OC`d XP1800 great (below 35*c load)
Plus the YS-Tech is only about £4 or $2-3
