Thermalright SK-6+ Mounting Question

OK I bought a SK-6+ from Newegg as a refurb. It came with everything but the clip to mount the heatsink to the motherboard. Can I use any clip or are they designed special for that heatsink? Also would mounting to board with screws be a feasible option?

I would think that as long as the pressure point is centered over the CPU core and the clip applies the correct pressure, any socket A clip should function.
The clip on the SK6+ is a nice one. I hope you got yours from Newegg cheaper than what you could have bought everything from SVC for.

did newegg label the refurb heatsink as being useable? if they did, then demand a clip. otherwise, i guess you can try to use any old socket a clip, but be very careful.

Unfortunatley It was several months ago that I bought it. I don't remember whether they said it was full or not I will try another clip and see if that workd I hope so.
