Thermalright Computex 2010

I can see the future now. We'll have postage stamp computers with everything included but slapped on top will be a heatsink so big you'll need to earthquake strap it to the studs in your wall to prevent potential injury.

nice video, I love that case they used, 3x120 or 140s front and back. looks like a ton of air flow. and that second hsf must be passive, there's no place to put fans on. the HR02 looks like Mugen2 you can probably zip tie 4x fans on it. very nice. the cylindrical cooler, don't know about efficiency have to see benchmarks. but all 3 are big big big! TR is really trying to out done itself, I hope they succeed.

That giant passive one looks like it's 2kilos.... It's gonna break off the mobo 😀

Well that's why they aren't mounted to the motherboard! Bolt them right into bosses in the chassis frame. Tough enough to survive a two storey drop to concrete. The pipes will bend though.

This sounds like a great idea for an all copper version of an existing Tower cooler design.

do they have any dimensions of these coolers? I hope they are not just prototypes.

did a little search and found a spec for the HR02:
http://www.nordichardware.com/image...ning/thermalright.computex/fullimages/hr2.jpg

it's enormous: 143Lx130Wx160H
vs Mugen 2: 130W x 100L x 158H mm

it''s 43% longer than mugen 2 that's quite a bit bigger.

check out installed picture of HR02, man, absolutely no room for a second fan, probably don't even need it. comes right up to the rear of the case:

they claim to be able to cool i7 @ 1,25v passive! I want to see this cooler in action with a decent fan like San A. maybe it can keep i7 under 75C/4ghz+.

JFC. 😱 That's absurd. Like I said in the other thread, just go WC.

Edit: that is an awesome looking case.

I'm totally going to buy some of these to play with. Anybody know when the street date is? I'd like to see what can be done with the new HR02 with 2 ultra kaze in push/pull

Like my picture shows no room for dual fans, maybe if you remove the case fan in the back. But Kaze is 38mm am I right? may not have room to fit it in. that HR02 in just a monster of a cooler.

Those passive behemoths are very intriguing. May try one in a htpc that lives in the master bedroom if its under 70 bucks.
