ThermalHood air duct...

Ahhh. Nice linkage. I'll be paying attention to see if anyone else says something about these. But I think I will be putting them in my case instead of two fans.
Tas.

I've seen them used before and have seen benchmarks too. Apparently it gives you an extra degree if you're lucky. Not worth the time or money imo. Better off getting a better fan or something.

Um..

what's the point of buying these 'ducting' mods?

Couldn't you just run to home depot and get some home duct-work supplies?

I ducted my air conditioning into my computer once, lowered load temps by ~12C.

Used styrofoam, cardboard, and some tape.

Lolol 12C is a lot...that's like adding watercooling to your case 😛

I'd LOVE to try something like this.

Well, it wasnt really an advanced project. It was going into my laptop, so I basically took styrofoam and made a "tunnel". This styorfoam led into a cardboard "basin" where my laptop sat. From there the air was sucked straight into my heatsink. You probably do a better job with plastic tubing, but it would be much harder ducting into a case. Although you could probably do it easily with a strong intake fan and a good amount of tubing.

There was no condensation, the air coming through the AC was dry enough to keep condensatin from forming. Also, case temps generally are very hot for me, so the case itself was still warm, even under the AC.
