Thermal warning error on EpoX 4G4A

I just put together a northy system for a family memeber and when I go to boot up, it makes the siren sound like MBM 5 makes when my CPU is overheating.

The only thing that I did differently in this system compared to the one I am running is that I didn't scrape off the TIM on the retail hsf and put AS3 on. I tried resetting the CMOS and everything but it still alarms when it boots up. Is there any way possible I could have messed this up somehow?

My 4G4A+ system is working perfectly but I have no idea what could be causing this. Thanks for any help you can give.

Does it boot into Windows? What are the temp readings in the bios? Are you overclocking?
It will make that same siren sound when there is an overclock failure (Vcore not set high enough).

No, it won't even POST. It turns on, wait about 3 secs, starts siren and won't POST or anything. I have no idea how to fix this.

Is this the + version with the LED readout? If so is it showing a code?
You might try reseating your CPU and Memory. Are you using the integrated
graphics or an AGP card?

No, ironically I have the + version in my computer but I've never needed it 🙂 I have tried reseating the memory. I am going to Ozzfest right now and am going to mess around with it when I get back. I have tried both the integrated graphics and my Radeon 8500 inside it. Nobody has encountered anything similar?
