i got ahold of a tube of AS5. i also grabbed a zalman cpns 9500 for my FX-57. Ive always been warned not to put too much paste. I watched a guy put some on his cpu and the amount was maybe 1/4 of a tear drop size, you could easily see the surface of the cpu under the paste.

does anyone have a pic or link showing the ideal amount of paste/AS5 to be or already pasted on a 754/939/AM2 cpu???

anyone have reccomendations, suggestions, or general tips to share?? pleez help

Basically, you want the least amount of goop that allows full contact between the cpu and the heatsink. It is better to err on the side of "too little" goop than "too much". ;)
